Main Plot

A young linguist named Milo Thatch joins an intrepid group of explorers to find the mysterious lost continent of Atlantis.


  • Michael J. Fox's character, Milo Thatch, is the protagonist in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, leading a team to find the lost city of Atlantis.

In the ending of Atlantis: The Lost Empire, the crew successfully retrieves the Heart of Atlantis, saving the city from destruction. Milo and Kida decide to share the Atlantean knowledge with the world and rebuild their civilization. Milo and Kida also fall in love and become the new King and Queen of Atlantis. The crew returns to the surface world, where Milo presents a journal filled with Atlantean knowledge to the museum. The film concludes with the crew embracing their new friendship and the hope for a brighter future.
